Refresh & Restore: Mindfulness & Wellbeing Workshop in Guardbridge, St. Andrews.
Life moves fast. For many of us in Fife—whether in St Andrews, Cupar, or Leuchars—finding moments to pause can feel impossible. That’s why we’re hosting the Refresh & Restore Workshop at Sean Elder Therapies in Guardbridge: a small-group session designed to help you slow down, reset, and reconnect.
What is Refresh & Restore?
This is more than a relaxation class. The Refresh & Restore Workshop combines gentle guided movement, mindful breathing, and shiatsu-based energy work in a calm, supportive setting. Led by an experienced psychologist and shiatsu practitioner, the session is designed to reduce stress, release physical tension, and help you feel more balanced.
The practices used in this workshop are grounded in evidence. Gentle movement and breathwork activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps calm the stress response. Studies have shown mindfulness and breath-based practices can lower cortisol levels and improve mood (Harvard Health Publishing, 2021). Shiatsu and energy work further support relaxation by encouraging circulation, reducing muscle tension, and restoring balance.

Location: Sean Elder Therapies, Guardbridge (just 5 minutes from St Andrews, easy access from North East Fife)
Format: Small group for individual attention
Includes: Guided movement, breath work, guided mindfulness meditation, calming energy work, gentle self-care practices to take home.
Date & Time: Sunday 24th of August starting at 2pm until 5pm (Comfort break in the middle)
